Etra’s design draws inspiration from its architecturally based frame system, featuring structural angle steel that is meticulously mitered and ground to achieve a clean, seamless surface, enhancing its refined appeal.
The frames are crafted from powder-coated carbon steel and paired with sustainably harvested ipe wood—a stunning South American hardwood renowned for its durability. Ipe is three times denser than teak and naturally resistant to rot, insects, UV exposure, ice, salt, abrasion, and splintering—all without the need for toxic chemicals. This remarkable material is considered a 25+ year wood, offering exceptional longevity.
Etra also incorporates built-in tapped holes at the base of each leg, enabling the addition of levelers or glides for enhanced stability. These holes can also be utilized to securely affix the furniture pieces to the ground, ensuring they remain firmly in place in any environment.
